73-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Struck by Taxi Van

 

A woman on St. Thomas was struck by a vehicle Thursday, the V.I. Police Department reported Saturday.

A concerned citizen called 911 Thusday when an elderly woman, later identified by next of kin as 73-year-old Pauline Sherry, was struck while crossing the Moravian Highway by a taxi van traveling west in the right lane in the area of Nisky Center, according to the police report.

Sherry sustained life-threatening injuries and succumbed to her injuries at Schneider Regional Medical Center, the police said.

This is an ongoing investigation by the VIPD Traffic Investigation Bureau.
