Sen. Donna Frett-Gregory and the DFG Community Impact Foundation hosted the third annual International Women’s Day celebration, “Inspire Inclusion,” honoring the influential women of the Virgin Islands community Friday night. The evening was filled with unity and celebration, featuring musical performances and presentations that highlighted the accomplishments of women from all walks of life.
Frett-Gregory led the night’s festivities with an emphasis on the importance of inclusivity and empowerment, encouraging all women to continue striving for excellence and making a difference in their communities. The celebration served as a reminder of the vital role women play in shaping society and the importance of supporting and uplifting one another.
This year’s Women Trailblazer Honorees included Clema S. Lewis, director of the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix, and Raynette A. Cameron Richards, founder of VI Ray of Sunshine Inc. The Inspirational Women Honorees were Sandye A. Wilson, reverend and dean of All Saints Cathedral Church, Sophia del Rosario, president of EMB Academy of Cosmetology Inc., and Anya Stuart, executive director of the Family Resource Center.
The evening’s honorees gathered in white together. Featured honorees included Naydyeyah Acoy-Thomas, professional emcee and marketing strategist; Casey Payton, Esq., executive director of Virgin Islands Justice Initiative; Meaghan Enright, executive director of Love City Strong Inc.; Juanita Frett, owner of YUM VI catering services; A’Yana K. Phillips, owner of Lady Mix Entertainment, LLC.; Kurell Sheridan, executive director at the Legislature of the Virgin Islands; Acia E. Brathwaite, owner at Y’Nobe hair studio; Ronessa Frederick, owner at Paradise Party Décor & Paradise Learning Academy; Sommer A. Sibilly-Brown, executive director at Virgin Islands Good Food Coalition; Deborah Hodge, police lieutenant and owner of Deb’z Flava; Amber Alexander, owner at Posh Boutique; Donna Frett-Gregory, senator at the Virgin Islands Legislature; Dionne R. Donadelle, territorial director of music at the V.I. Education Department; Andrea J. Dorsey Ph.D., CEO of Blue Skies Empowerment Enterprises; Clema S.
