A 64-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly attacking another man with a stick near Lutheran Social Services on St. Croix, police said.
At approximately 12:48 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of an assault in progress in Frederiksted Town. Responding officers found the victim bleeding from the head. Witnesses told detectives that Glen Miller approached the victim, pushed him to the ground, and then struck him in the head with a stick when he tried to get up, according to the police report.
Emergency responders transported the victim to Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment, the police report stated.
Police located Miller, who admitted to pushing the victim. He was advised of his Miranda Rights, arrested, and booked into the John Bell Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $25,000, the report stated.
