It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Augustine Lester Longville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Augustine, age 82, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2025.
Born on August 1, 1942, in St. Lucia, Augustine lived a life full of love, dedication, and unwavering faith. He be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Augustine leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and strength. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Longville, his devoted mother, Martina Longville, and his father, Simon Longville. He is also survived by his children, Lucia Jules, Mary John, and Lance Longville, along with his grandchildren, Tyler Gustave, Cayla Gustave, Vernon Roberts, Tunisha Herman, and Mareah Herman. Additionally, Augustine is survived by his brothers, Renee Longville and John Longville, and many other relatives and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Christiansted Seventh-day Adventist Church on April 29. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring Augustine at the following time. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. and Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment Following the service, Augustine will be laid to rest at Kingshill.
Augustine will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong faith, and his compassionate spirit. He touched many lives and leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In this time of grief, may we take comfort in knowing that Augustine’s spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the countless lives he touched. His memory will remain a guiding light, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who carry his love and teachings forward.
