In preparation for the new school year, Nana Baby Children’s Home and The Salvation Army are teaming up to host a Free School Uniform Swap on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army on Main Street, next to the Market Square.
Families are invited to drop off and/or pick up gently used school uniform items including pants, shirts, belts, ties, and skirts. All donated items should be in good condition — no stains, holes, or heavy wear. This community-driven event offers an easy way for families to share resources, save money, and ensure children start the school year off right.
“This event is about more than clothing — it’s about connection and support,” said a representative from Nana Baby Children’s Home. “We want to ease the back-to-school burden for families while promoting a spirit of giving and sustainability.”
The event is made possible with support from local business owners Lowayna L. Durant of Grazing the Bar and Rasha Harris of Beans, Bites & Bubbles, who are committed to helping our community thrive.
