She was preceded in death by her mother, Noalise Paul, and father, Melise Thomas.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Sills Lewis, of 58 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Maydine Alcid-Digsby (Florida), Simson Lewis (St. Croix), Lydia Benjamin (Guadeloupe), and Monroe Casey (Dominica); stepdaughter, Claudette Fritz (St. Martin); siblings, Marie Gage (England), Angeline Thomas (Florida), Yvonne Thomas (Dominica); brothers, Vital Thomas (Florida) and Derek Thomas (Antingua); grandchildren, Marcus Alcid, Shadela Alcid, Simmona Lewis, Crispin Lewis (Florida), Shaheem Lewis, Thorent Lewis, Cadeshia Lewis (St. Croix), Raissa Gregoire, Ludovic Gregoire, Xavier Gregoire (Guadeloupe), and Tracey Gregoire (Paris); great-grandchildren, Keron, Naijah, Ludjahny, Jahlya, Raihma, Kataleya, Jiany, Tajry, Kaden, Ka’Mari, Neveah; sons-in-law, Frank Digsby (Florida); she leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts; brothers-in-law, Hennis Lewis and Albert Lewis; sisters-in-law, Marta Lewis, Rita Lewis Mascall, Corine Delsol, in St. Croix and Nora Lewis (Antigua) and Anaclette Francois, in Florida; close family members, Sentinila, Denise, Sonia, Sandra, Shirley, Esbert, Bernard, Bernadin, Veronica, Aidona, Dawn and her dear friend Racklif. Deltina’s kindness, generosity, and unconditional love touched many lives. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she nurtured, fed, guided, and loved. Forever loved. Forever remembered.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Feb. 20 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Viewing begins at 9 a.m., with service at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Kingshill Cemetery.
