Arturo Ventura Rodriguez, also known as “Turin,” of Estate Anna’s Hope died on Aug. 6. He was 92 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Victoria Bonano Pagan and Felipe Ventura Rodriguez.
He is survived by his daughters: Elizabeth Ventura and Margarita V. Schjang; grandchildren: Ronald A. Schjang Jr., Melissa S. Simmonds, Richard A. Mitchell and Ibia V. Harry; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Reana, Ronald A. III, Ronel A., Rowen A. and Ronea A. Schjang, Shelissa and Shaliiah Simmonds, Jaylen Mitchell, Akeem T., Ayden T. and Amia T. Harry; great-great-granddaughter, Ryan D. Schjang; and sisters: Carmen “Cabi” Ventura and Tabita V. Nieves.
He is also survived by nieces: Sarita Bermudez, Noemi B Ortiz, Dorcas B. Kidd, Maria F. Belardo, Migdalia V. Suliverez, Yvette Ventura, Magaly Ventura, Myra V. Martinez, Jessica Nieves, Wanda and Victoria Ventura; nephews: Frank and Juan F. Bermudez, Norbin Felix, Jaime Ventura Jr., Juan A. Jose A. Jr., Carlos A. Nieves, Carlos Jr. and Victor Ventura; aunts: Julia V. Soto, Brigida Ventura and Herminia Ventura; and uncles: Dolores Ventura and Gonzalo Ventura.
Other survivors include brother-in-law: Jose Antonio Nieves; sisters-in-law: Lydia S. Ventura and Dalia G. Ventura; godchildren: Nelson C. Tutein, Rafael Nieves, Ziomara Ramos, Wanda Ventura and Zoroaya Belardo; special friends: Cleofe Asencio, Rafael Acevedo, Rafael Ramos, Ricardo Rodriguez, Valentin Torres, Jose Torres and Luis Manuel Pereira; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 25, at Iglesia Hermanos Unidos En Cristo Zion. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
