Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes announces the reopening of Elections System of the Virgin Islands offices territory-wide on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The offices will be temporarily closed effective Monday, Aug. 17 until further notice.
Voter registration resumed in both districts on Thursday, Aug. 6. Due to COVID-19, the offices are currently operating on the following schedule.
Items required to register include Birth Certificate or Passport (United States) or Military Discharge form (DD214) or Naturalization Certificate.
The Board of Elections (St. Thomas-St. John District) will continue counting Absentee Ballots at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at the St. Thomas Elections Office, Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular).
The Board of Elections will be meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, to begin counting the 2020 Primary Election walk-in and mail-in ballots.
Electors who were unable to cast their ballots during the Early Voting can cast their ballot on Election Day scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1
Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes has announced that early voting will resume in the St. Thomas-St. John District on Tuesday, July 21.
On St. Thomas and St. John, Early Voting was suspended on Friday, July 10, after the system learned that an individual conducting business at the St. Thomas office had tested positive for COVID-19.
Early Voting for the 2020 Primary Election continues to see a steady number of voter participation in the St. Croix District.
