In accordance with Governor Albert Bryan’s efforts to open doors and a path to the new normal, the Department of Planning and Natural Resources will resume normal hours of operation of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 22, according to DPNR’s Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol.

The reopening includes both Fort Frederik on St. Croix and Fort Christian on St. Thomas. No guided tours will be provided at this time. Public libraries will also resume operations later in the month as the department implements more protective measures at those sites.

Commissioner Oriol urges patrons to adhere to the safety precautions established by the department with regards to submitting documents, practicing social distancing, and wearing a mask while in DPNR offices.

For in-person needs other than pick-up or drop-off services, or for general information, call 774-3320 on St. Thomas or 773-1082 on St. Croix to schedule an appointment with the appropriate division.

Please visit the Department of Planning and Natural Resources website at www.dpnr.vi.gov for forms and other information relative to each division.
