The need for in-home PCA services is great. Nearly 20% of our total USVI population is over 65 years old and require some level of assistance with daily activities. PCA’s assist clients with Activities of Daily Living like personal grooming, light housekeeping, walking, positioning, meal prep, shopping, feeding, and more.
This program will benefit our senior citizens as well as the USVI business community, the disabled, and the VI community at large.
The PCA business program is open to churches with a 501(c)3, nonprofits, medical practices, and entrepreneurs. Very little start-up capital is needed and anyone with at least a high school diploma, who is able bodied with a clean background check, can become a Personal Care Attendant.
Please contact the DHS Medicaid Division at (340) 712-7100 ext. 7186 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to register and participate in this virtual information sharing session.
