The Committee will receive a status update on the Virgin Islands Horse Racing Commission and the promulgation of the rules and regulations for the horse racing industry

Bill No. 33-0282 – An Act amending Title 3, chapter 18, subchapter 2, section 312 of the Virgin Islands Code to amend the Virgin Islands Sports Commission (Proposed by Senators Dwayne M. De Graff and Javan E. James Sr.)

Block II

1:15 – 2:30 p.m.

The committee will receive a status update from the V.I. Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation pertaining to the maintenance of parks and recreational centers to include the status of the replacement of lights at the various parks throughout the territory.

This update will also include the department’s progress on the implementation and success rate of the programs for youths and adults, as well as a progress report regarding public-private partnership (PPP)

Block III

2:30– 3:45 p.m.

The Committee will receive a status update from the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee and to discuss the proposal of a multipurpose sports facility and shelter.
