Vendors participating in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Christiansted on Saturday, March 15, must complete a fire safety inspection before setting up.
The registration deadline for vendor applications is Thursday, March 13. Late submissions will not be accepted, as they do not allow enough time for the VIFEMS Prevention Team to complete the required inspections.
Vendor Requirements for Fire Safety Approval
To participate, vendors must follow these steps:

Submit an Application
- Pick up and complete the Special Event Inspection Application Form at the VIFEMS Administrative Office on St. Croix.
- Submit the form with a $50 application fee.

Prepare for Inspection
- After processing, the VIFEMS Prevention Team will schedule an on-site safety inspection.
- Vendors cooking on-site must have a tagged fire extinguisher.
- Those using deep fryers are required to have a Class K fire extinguisher.
- All gas tanks will be inspected for compliance.
