Frank Powell Park Filled with Plants and New Signage

The final touches to complete renovations at Frank Powell Park were completed by Department of Planning and Natural Resources officials last week, just in time for the 39th Annual BVI/USVI Friendship Day. Work included construction of a stone pyramid, above, which bears the name of the park at its entrance and the installation of a variety of plants, below.

When the new stone pyramid at Frank Powell Park, at left, starting rising from the ground at least one resident was inspired to don an early Halloween Costume. Cid Hamling is certainly “Walking Like an Egyptian” in this photo.
