Blue Christmas Service. Saturday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m.
Blue Christmas service, also known as a Longest Night service, is a contemplative worship event held around Dec. 21, the longest night of the year. It offers solace to individuals experiencing grief or hardship during the holiday season, such as mourning a loss, facing illness, dealing with loneliness or feeling isolated. The service includes readings, prayers, and hymns that acknowledge pain while emphasizing hope and healing. It creates a sacred space for reflection and community support, for all of the wider community. This service is open to all including – non-churchgoers and individuals from various faith backgrounds. Come and join us for this event if you need a supportive environment and leave feeling less isolated during these emotionally challenging times.
Christmas Eve Service. Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.
The Christmas Eve service is a cherished tradition that blends worship, community and
celebration. Candles play an important role as they serve as reminders of Jesus, the “Light of World”, further emphasizing the overall message of peace, hope, joy and love during the holiday season. The service features scripture readings, the nativity story, prayers, carols, and candlelight creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This Christmas Eve Service serves as a profound way to reflect on the season’s significance while connecting with others.
New Year’s Eve service. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 6 p.m.
The New Year’s Eve service, often referred to as Watch Night services, blend reflection and celebration. The service starts at 6 p.m. and will finish before midnight. Come and join us for this time of reflection on the past year, while we anticipate the new year with hope and faith in God who has never failed and promises to be with us.
