With great sorrow, the family of James Caleb Gumbs, affectionately known as “Caleb,” announces his passing at the age of 42. He graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School in 2004. He died on Oct. 2 at Schneider Regional Medical Center.
Caleb is survived by his parents: Eda M. Stuart-Gumbs and James S. Gumbs (better known as Torch).

A first viewing will take place from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov.1, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church followed by a service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No 3
Those who will attend are invited and encouraged to wear cheerful colors in celebration of Caleb’s life.
