We are saddened to announce the passing of Orville Olanzo Todman, also known as “Opal,” “Gabo” or “Villain,” age 68, from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He peacefully departed from this world on Friday, Jan. 12, at the Roy Lester Hospital. The management and staff of Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services deeply mourn his loss.
Orville is preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Teresita Thomas; father, Dennis A. Todman; uncles: Austin, Leroy and Jens Todman; sisters: Claudette Hackett and Ilma Thomas; and nephews: Jose’ Stridiron Jr. and Jerome Thomas.
He is survived by his brothers: Elvis Thomas and Kelvin Thomas; sisters: Delia Todman, Julice Thomas and Colette Hackett; aunts: Joyce Garrin, Iris Chinnery and Gladys Todman; uncle, Guillermo “German” Todman; nephews: Leburn Smith Jr., Carlton Creque and Julio Illidge; and great nephews: Malik Alexander, LeQuan Smith, Mehkai Smith, Kamari Marshall, K’nai Marshall, Se’Kani Frett, Kaden Hazel and Trevon Abeef.
He is also survived by nieces: Carmencita Thomas, Claudette Duggins and Curice Paulus; great nieces: MayAsia Smith, Le’Deijah Smith, Ksaiah Smith, Tiana Abeef and Aliana Miose; cousins: Willa-Mae, Laurel, Elwyn and Jennifer Dawson; and special cousins: Arsene Garrin, Morette Fahie, Joan Frett, Denise Dawson, Darryl Dawson and Jedwyn Frett.
Other survivors include special friends: Felicia Potter, Elridge Thomas, Ralphie “the Blind Man” Corneiro, Deloris Nibbs, Glen “Kwabena” Davis, “Brother Ferrari,” Cleophus Thomas, the Thomas, Todman, Dawson Sprauve, Charleswell, Turnbull, and the Skeleton, Isaac, Frett, Hodge, Angelo “Blackguard” Williams, Crabbe, families, and the Bordeaux farmers; as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention.
