Telephone service at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Building on St. Thomas was interrupted earlier this morning due to an apparent damaged fiber optic cable in the downtown area of St. Thomas.

Representatives from Viya are currently working to rectify the problem and have service restored. The public can contact the Legislature through the St. John and St. Croix offices at 776-6285 or 773-2424, respectively.

The down fiber also affects the cable broadcasting of this morning’s meeting; however, the meeting will be carried live on radio station 91.9 FM and the Legislature’s social media platforms: Facebook and on livestream.
