Primary Election Voter Registration Ends July 3, Extended Hours Announced

Elections Supervisor Caroline F. Fawkes reminds the public that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming August 3 primary election is Wednesday, July 3. In accordance with V.I. law, voter registration will be closed for 30 days immediately preceding, and five days immediately following, each election.

To accommodate the expected surge in registrations, the Elections System offices will extend its operating hours from Monday, July 1 to Wednesday, July 3. Additionally, fees for lost or stolen voter identification cards will be waived during this period. The extended voter registration hours at the respective Elections System Offices are as follows:

St. Croix & St. Thomas Elections System Offices:

  • July 1, 2024: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • July 2, 2024: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • July 3, 2024: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

St. John Elections System Office:

  • July 2, 2024: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • July 3, 2024: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these extended hours to ensure they are registered and eligible to participate in the primary election.
