Public Hearings on Proposed Zoning Map Amendments to Official V.I. District Maps Scheduled

The Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources will hold virtual public hearings on proposed zoning map amendments on May 20 through May 24 on St. Croix and St. John.

St. Croix

Virtual Public Hearings Via Microsoft Teams

Monday, May 20, at 10 a.m.

ZAC-24-3: Ezra and Atarah Garib requesting a rezoning from R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) to R-3 (Residential-Medium Density) for Plot No. 1068 Estate Williams Delight, Prince Quarter, St. Croix.  The purpose of the request is to develop six dwelling units.

ZAC-24-4: Evolve USVI LLC and Next to the Fred LLC requesting a rezoning from W-1 (Waterfront-Pleasure) to R-3 (Residential-Medium Density) for Plot Nos. 36, 37, 38 and 42 Strand Street, Frederiksted Town, St. Croix.  The purpose of the request is the rehabilitation of existing rental property and the expansion of the Fred Hotel.

ZAC-24-5: Lasso Investment Holding LLC requesting a rezoning from R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) to B-3 (Business Scattered) for Plot No. 8-E and Remainder Plot No. 8 Estate Mount Pleasant, Prince Quarter, St. Croix.  The purpose of the request is to allow a mixed-use development.

Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m.

ZAC-24-6: Virgin Islands Propane LLC requesting a use variance to the I-2 (Light Industry) zoned Plot No. 8 Estate Cassava Garden, Queen Quarter, St. Croix.  The purpose of the request is to allow the storage, retail and wholesale of propane.

Friday, May 24, at 10 a.m.

ZAJ-24-4: Shemura Nicholson and Akil Richards requesting a rezoning from R-1 (Residential-Low Density) to R-3 (Residential-Medium Density) for Parcel Nos. 25 Remainder and 25B Estate Susannaberg, No. 17A Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John.  The purpose of the request is to develop multi-family dwelling units.
