It is with deep sorrow, that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard Mills, known to many as “DOC” or “Jamaicky”. He was born in Jamaica on April 16th, 1960 and departed this life on March 21st, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his mother Victoria Gordon, father Maxi Mills, brother Courtney Dunkley, and sister Lorna Thompson. He leaves to mourn his wife of 38 years Olive Mills. 4 daughters Kayon Mills, Shadrene Senior, Richelle and Renelle Mills. 2 sons Richard Mills Jr. and Ryon Mills. 2 siblings Joanne Hinds and Errol Dunkley. 18 grandchildren. Kishaun and Kianna Gregoire, Ricardo and Rickelia Scarlett, Kevian and Esther Senior, Ahmani, Ahmari, Teyshari and Teyanni Mills, Ryleigh and Re’Kai Camsel, Rusheka and Richard Mills 3rd, and Shawn, Kaywana, Gabrielle and Theodore Mills, 1 great grandchild Jadelyn Smith. 2 step sons Delaine and Devann Lake. Special nephews Rajah Brown and Walter Tucker. Sisters in law Anita Bailey, Olivia Simmons, Gladys Niles, Elvira Daniel, Norma and Lettice Stoddard, and Jennifer Hunt. Uncle Delroy Dunkley. Many other nieces and nephews in Jamaica and abroad. Coworkers of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Sapphire Beach Resort, Sugar Bay, Elysian and Frenchman’s Reef Hotel. Special friends Nancy Finnegan, Lorna Skyer, Kishan Stevens, Ramonia Fabien, Amanda Maduro, Teodoro Pena, Doreen Isaac Henderson, Alvin Piper, and Taleen Nazarian. Special cousin Lola. Funeral arrangements are set for a later date in Jamaica. Richard loved life and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank all who sent warm wishes of peace.
