The Department of Public Works updates the community on an upcoming single-lane road closure on First Avenue, St. Thomas, starting Thursday.
DPW contractor – Island Roads Corp. – will facilitate the single-lane closure between 7th and 8th Street for curb and gutter installation during work hours. Motorists will be allowed to turn left from 7th Street onto First Avenue.
A flagger will be located at the bottom of 9th Street to aid motorists turning left onto First Avenue. All parked and abandoned vehicles must be removed from the roadsides to ensure roadwork can continue as scheduled.
