Stephen Garvey of Lowry Hill died on June 14. He was 54 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Morton-Garvey, father, Vonseeko Garvey; and sister, Sylvia Cannonier.
He is survived by his wife, Desaree Garvey; sons: Malik Garvey, Stephen A. Garvey Jr., Marcus Garvey, Deshaun Garvey and Deonte’ Garvey; daughters: Daniell Samuel, Stephanie Garvey, D’Jazz Morgan and Azaria Garvey; brothers: Franklyn Morton, Robert Morton, Wendell Morton Sr., Stedroy Morton, Everson Garvey, Charles Garvey and St. Elmo Warner; and sisters: Pearl Warner, Patricia Garvey-Rivera and Juliette Warner.
He is also survived by grandchildren: Mya Garvey, Makai Garvey, Isaiah King, Makael Garvey, Ziare Steven, Leah Garvey, Jade Morgan, Azari Dorvil, Zakai Garvey, D’Naesia Garvey, Kayden Garvey, Zaiyden Garvey and Kaizen Garvey; sisters-in-law: Annette Morton, Jacquetta Morton, Bernadine Morton and Paulette Morton; brothers-in-law: Cardigan Cannonier, Earlston Warner and Reynaldo Rivera; son-in-law, Jeremy Morgan; and daughters-in-law: Audi Garvey, Brianna Garvey and  Heysha Garvey.
He is also survived by nephews: Enacio Freeman, Kenneth Morton, Aldrich Morton, Jose Belardo, Jeremy Belardo, Karl Browne, Everson Garvey, Jr., Wendell Morton Jr., Shondell McCoy, Riccardo Simmons, Darian Lawrence, Jahsean Ferdinand, Ellis Dorsett, Perry Morton, Ricky Morton, Sheldon Morton, Jameson Morton, Anthony Morton, Nathanael Morton, Kenton Morton, Kevon Morton, Kevinton Garvey, Craig Garvey, Damian Garvey, Dillyan Garvey and Antonio Garvey; and nieces: Anarita Williams, Jamelah Morton, Andrea Morton-Mingo.
Other survivors include Rasheda Warner-Jacobs, Njemile Warner, Tifany Warner, Anjorie Morton, Fayvonnisha Morton, Shanya Morton Deidre Morton, Rochelle Morton, Vanessa Morton, Ronadine Morton, Jackie Morton, Asha Morton, Adriene Morton, Jelisha Belardo, Joanna Figueroa, Julie-Ann Ledesma, Tameka Morton, Karissa Morton, Porschia Morton-McFadden, Lia Garvey, Briana Garvey, Tracia Warner, Chanease Garvey, Chante Garvey, Laurell Dorsett Morton, Dawnet Bowen Robins, Kever Adolphin, Gillian Simmonds Stapleton, Katia Rogers Francis, Charlene Warner, Wendy Warner, Audrene Warner, Tamara Warner and Perdesta Warner; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, July 5, at Way of the Cross Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
