UVI Offers Anti-Money Laundering Certificate Program

The Center for Excellence in Leadership and Learning, in association with the Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Institute, will be offering industry professionals the opportunity to earn a certificate in the field of anti-money laundering. The 15-week online program will provide an overview of anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, and financial crime prevention.

There will be two sessions of this course:

Session I: Feb. 23 to June 1 (Tuesdays, 6 – 8 p.m.)

Session II:  Aug. 10 to Nov. 16 (Tuesdays, 6 – 8 p.m.)

This professional certification will cover all of the key elements of the anti-money laundering/bank secrecy act and includes topics such as:

The AML/BSA/CFT/OFAC Regulatory Ecosystem and obligations

Currency Transaction Report

OFAC, Sanctions and Terrorist

High-Risk Customers

Enhanced Due Diligence

Suspicious Activity Reports

AML Risk Assessments and Independent Audit

Know Your Employees

Cybercrimes

The program is designed for the board members, business owners and professionals such as accountants, attorneys and auditors of any regulated industries. The program is also ideal for existing compliance officers to acquire a universally recognized certification.

The staff of government-owned businesses, port and airport authorities, immigration and customs, police force, regulatory agencies, procurement divisions and legislature are also invited to register since the program aims to build more capacity within these organizations.

The certificate program will provide any graduate or undergraduate student a path forward to launch a career in compliance with private business, a government entity and a regulatory or enforcement agency.
