19-Year-Old Arrested, Charged with Robbery

The V.I. Police Department arrested 19-year-old Keishawn D. Monsanto of White Lady on St. Croix and charged hm with first-degree robbery.

According to police, 11:55 p.m. Tuesday police spotted Monsanto in a white Ford F-150 pickup that had been reported stolen.

After a brief chase, Monsanto was apprehended, police said, and items found in the stolen vehicle were from a robbery that had occurred just moments earlier at The Palms at Pelican Cove.

Bail for Monsanto was set at $75,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.
