2022 USVI Charter Yacht Show Set for November 12-15, IGY Marinas, Yacht Haven Grande STT

Moe’s Fresh Markets, the largest gourmet grocery retailer on St. Thomas and major charter yacht provisioner, will sponsor the USVI Charter Yacht Show for the fifth consecutive year, according to the Virgin Islands Professional Charter Association (VIPCA). The grocer, with harborside locations on St. Thomas’ Waterfront and Yacht Haven Grande in Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook, along with its latest North Side location to open in early 2023, has provided long-time and stalwart support to the show even through a global pandemic.

“Not only are we able to source hard-to-find groceries and produce, but we have one of the largest selections of wine and liquors,” says Khalid Hamed, manager at Moe’s Fresh Markets.

What’s New

The 2022 USVI Charter Yacht Show offers a series of highly valuable and informative seminars throughout each day of the event. These kick-off with the New Crew Briefing at 5 p.m., Nov. 11. There will be two catered complimentary breakfast talks, the USVI Charter Highlights on Nov. 13 and Charter Compliance on Nov. 14, both beginning at 8 a.m. The former is the latest land-and-sea charter secrets provided by experts in historical sites, hiking, and diving; the latter features VI Government speakers from the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Virgin Islands National Park, and the British Virgin Islands Shipping Registry.

Luncheon seminars at noon on Nov. 12, 13, and 14 provide updates on Trip & Travel Insurance; from 12:30-1 p.m., Nov. 13 and 14, the luncheon will be about the VI National Park Sea Turtle Program and the VI National Parks. The show will wrap up with the Charter Yacht Professional Excellence training 1-6 p.m., Nov. 15 with a certificate awarded to participating crews by Seven Sea’s Academy
