Clarence Antonio Todman Sr. Dies

Clarence A. Todman Sr.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clarence A. Todman Sr., also known as “Cla” or “Cla-bang.”

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Malvina (Smith) Todman; sisters: Clothilda Cameron, Muriel Bonelli, and Gloria Todman; brother, Amin Abdullah; nephew, Aquil Abdullah; and son, Kareem S. Todman.

Clarence Todman Sr. is survived by his children: Dr. Aurelia Donald and Clarence A. Todman Jr. (Subulade); sisters: Joyce Delemos Francis and Theresa (Terry) Todman; brothers: Calvin and Courtney Todman; grandchildren: Cerelia Donald, CeAra Donald and Ifasola Olusegun; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

He is also survived by his nieces: Audrey Delemos, Sherly Bonelli, Roselyn and Denise Simmons, Charmayne, Chanda, Carla and Keiya Todman, Kaiya Nash, Deidre Coulier, Catherine Powell, and Aminah Abdullah; nephews: Vincent, Dean, Courtney Jr., Kai, Stanley, Cornelius and Javon Todman, Avery Francis, Mario Bonelli, Khalid & Suleman Abdullah, Rashaad Hyndman, Rahkeem George, and Jaleel Robles.

Special Friends: Lionel Benjamin, Winifred Francis, Sylvanus “Roots” Bloice, Leonard Smalls, Valberg Reovan, Arlene Thomas and family, Al Batiste, Liston Powell, Ivo Steele, Franklyn Steele, Iva Chesterfield, Winston Turnbull, Bernice Turnbull, Verna Rawlins, Alvin Petty, Euranice Chesterfield, Erna Williams, Calhorn George, Friends of Kareem Todman (Riise, Samandi, Derisa etc), Gentlemen of Savan, CAHS Class of 68, Retirees of VI Housing Authority, VI Plumbing & Mechanical Association, IAPMO and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Family members include the Todman, Smith, Ottley, Crabbe, Fahie, Fleming, Hyndman, and Delemos families.

The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home Chapel.

A second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Westley Methodist Church in Anna’s Retreat. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery in Smith Bay.

Clarence was a member of the Methodist Benevolent Society. In lieu of flowers, a collection will be taken for the Wesley Methodist Church Chapel Renovation Project.
