I want to thank the St. John community for making the Kenefit a roaring success! Never before have I seen people come together in such a loving and unique way to raise money for a good cause. A special thanks to all of the businesses and individuals who donated gift certificates and prizes for a raffle that raised thousands of dollars; to Elliot of Tall Ship Trading for his generous donation of Kenefit t-shirts; to all of the musicians who played all day and into the night; to Carey Dupree for organizing a highly entertaining and profitable bachelor/bachelorette auction and to all of its brave participants (myself included!); and to the amazing staff of Island Blues who made this event happen.
The success of the Kenefit is a testament not only to the kindness of Kenny Quinn, but also to the warmth and good will of the St. John community. I feel lucky to be a part of it.
