Alexander St. Rose

Alexander St. Rose, also known as “Alex” or “Zandie,” died on March 21 at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was born on March 12, 1951, in Castries, St. Lucia, and lived on St. Croix, V.I.

St. Rose was preceded in death by his grandparents: Randolph and Theresa St. Rose; father, Arnold Gurley; brother, Joseph Charles; sister: Sabina Charles; uncle, Eric St. Rose; and aunts: Bernice Andrew and Terencia Barthelemy.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Charles; wife, Mary M. St. Rose; daughters: Raymona St. Rose and Azaria St. Rose; son, A.J. St. Rose; grandchildren: Jahlan Gordon and Maya Gordon; great-granddaughter, Jenaya Sesay; sisters: Michealina, Patricia, Agatha, Esther and Sophia; brothers: Micheal, Franklin and David; uncle, George St. Rose; aunts: Clarita Duboulay and Vivian Polius; ten sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; and several cousins, nieces and nephews, godchildren and special friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, April 12, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
