Alliance for Consumer Justice Invites Officials to Attend Town Hall

Alliance for Consumer Justice signs protesting WAPA policies

The Virgin Islands’ Alliance for Consumer Justice has officially invited elected representatives, media and the general public to attend its “WAPA Fix” Community Town Hall meeting: “by the people, of the people, for the people.” It will be held at 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Vitraco Park Mall (in Long Bay rear area, to the right of Washboard Laundromat).

Elected officials are asked to listen to the Peoples’ Immediate Ratepayers Relief Plans. Be prepared to put a statement on the record. Willing testifiers are hereby asked to bring their redacted WAPA bills and be ready to vent; but more importantly, be ready to engage in the immediate plans for relief. The officials present will also be given a brief opportunity to put their positions on the record. This is one time to “flock for helpful info and to connect with those you serve.” Feel free to RSVP. Refreshments will be available.

Elected officials are asked to mark the calendar and be among the people/your constituents. If for any reason someone is unable to attend, please designate a chosen representative to be present.

Parking is at a premium, so the Alliance encourages people to carpool or else park and walk from all neighboring areas.
