Bajo El Sol Gallery in Mongoose Junction, Cruz Bay, will host author Sherman Thomas for a book signing of “A Bottle of Water” at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16.
Thomas’ first book, “A Bottle of Water,” is a story of survival and growth after a traumatic accident. It is the personal testimony of a football coach and award-winning weight lifter who was hit by a speeding car while on his way to purchase a bottle of water.
Thomas is a firefighter with the Virgin Islands Fire Department and a mentor at My Brother’s Workshop on St. Thomas. A self-described sports fanatic, he is one of the official commentators for the University of the Virgin Islands Basketball League. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar as one of the musicians at his church, Bovoni Baptist.
The community is invited to meet the author and pick-up signed copies of “A Bottle of Water.” The event will feature a cash bar and will run until 7 p.m.
