BMV to Close Sections of St. Thomas Office From June 7-11.

Director Barbara Jackson-McIntosh informs the motoring public that the Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ (BMV) St. Thomas Office vehicle title and registration operation will be closed temporarily from Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11.

Please note that the drivers’ license section will not be affected by the closure. This closure is necessary to relocate the employees and the vehicle registration and title operation as the BMV begins to prepare for the demolition and rebuilding of the its office.

The vehicle title and registration cashiers will be relocated to one of the trailers in the rear of the facility, and the other employees will be relocated to another area more conducive for work.

McIntosh said, “It is our goal to resume normal office hours within a week, the public will be notified accordingly. Persons who have appointments to pick up their vehicle title and registration documents this week will still be accommodated.”
