Bryan to Champion V.I. at Annual Sea Trade Conference in Miami

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. will attend the annual Sea Trade Conference from April 8-11 in Miami, Florida. The governor will lead a delegation of Virgin Islands officials to promote the territory as a premier destination for cruise tourism and maritime business, Government House announced.

“The Sea Trade Conference is a critical platform to connect with industry leaders and showcase the many advantages the Virgin Islands offers to the global maritime community,” said Bryan. “Our beautiful islands, rich history, and cultural offerings make us an ideal destination for cruise lines and maritime businesses alike.”

During the conference, Bryan will be participating in a number of events, including:

  •  A panel discussion on the future of cruise tourism in the Caribbean
  • Meetings with executives from major cruise lines and maritime companies
  • A reception to promote the Virgin Islands to industry partners

Bryan will also be highlighting the territory’s recent investments in its ports and infrastructure, as well as its commitment to sustainable tourism practices, according to the press release.

“The Virgin Islands is a leader in sustainable tourism, and we are committed to working with our partners in the cruise industry to ensure a healthy and vibrant environment for future generations,” added Bryan.

The Sea Trade Conference is the world’s largest cruise industry event, bringing together cruise lines, port authorities, travel agents, and other industry stakeholders. The conference provides a platform for networking, education, and discussion of the latest trends in the cruise industry, the press release stated.
