Car Fire on St. Thomas Under Investigation

A car fire that occurred Sunday on St. Thomas is under investigation, the V.I. Police Department reported.

911 Call Center dispatched officers to the Solberg area after receiving a call from a concerned citizen about a possible vehicle on fire, according to the police report.

When the officers arrived, firefighters were in the process of extinguishing a fire to a four-door SUV of unknown color, with no license plates and no visible VIN at the time, the police report stated.

Firefighters said upon their arrival, they observed the vehicle abandoned and engulfed in flames, including a small brush fire adjacent to the vehicle, the police said.
