United States Postal Service

Officials with the Caribbean District of the Postal Service announce the suspension of delivery and retail operations on Wednesday, Aug. 28, due to the approach of Tropical Storm Dorian.

This means all post offices in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands will be closed today and there will be no mail delivery. This includes all post offices that begin with the following three digits:
006
007 — including Vieques and Culebra
008 – U.S. Virgin Islands
009

Customers are reminded they should check the USPS website – www.usps.com — regularly for updated information on mail service.

Postal employees are asked to call the Postal Service’s National Employee EMERGNC Hotline for updated information.
