Carlos Sterling, born to Carlos Sterling Berten and Julia Pizarro Rivera on May 12, 1942, passed away on March 15, two months shy of completing his 84th trip around the sun.
He was closely preceded in death on Oct. 7, 2025, by his wife of 59 years, Ellen Francisca Sterling, and his brother-in-law, Antonio Brown, on March 8, 2026.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, at James Memorial Chapel, Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. with service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
