Celestine Royer Dies at 86

Celestine Royer

Celestine Royer, also known as “Celes,” of Flambouyant Gardens died on Dec. 18. She was 86 years old.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Conrad Royer; mother, Ettienette Augustine; and father, Mickey Augustine.

She is survived by her daughters: Avril Royer and Jacqueline Royer-Reed; sons: Addison Royer and Andrew Royer; grandchildren: Lateacha Royer, Nicole Royer, Brandon Royer, Simone Reed, Jodeci Conrad Reed, Adrian Mootoo, Caleb Royer and Noah King Royer; great-grandchild, Rayelyn Mootoo; brothers: John Royer and Colin Augustine; and nieces: Allison Francois, Mona Shillingford, Gertrude McPherson, Elizabeth Phillip, Jean Simon, Ann Marie Royer, Cecilia Royer, Angela Royer, Alix Brumant, Elizabeth Bynoe and Francisca Purton.

She is also survived by nephews: Andrew Francois, Tony Francois, Tony Royer, Everard John Royer, Audrick Brumant, Justin Brumant, Linus Brumant, Andrew Augustine, Anthony Royer, Edward James Royer, Patrick Charles Royer and K.E. Royer; daughters-in-law: Catherine Joseph-Royer and Kristin Thelemaque; sons-in-law: Joseph Reed and Rosaldo Horsford Sr.; brothers-in-law: Mark Brumant, Cyrille Brumant, Lawrence Patrick, Richard Royer, Reynold Royer and Jones Royer, and Keith Patrick; and sisters-in-law:  Marilyn Frederick, Nina Brumant, Leslie Brumant, Allie Royer, Louisa Frampton, Marilyn Patrick, Gloria Royer, Merline Augustine, Alice Royer, Paulette Royer and Audrey Patrick.

Other survivors include cousins, other nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention; special friends: Jane Josse, Florence Royer, Flora Royer, Olive Bedminister, Vanya LeBlanc, Jose Torres, Sita Richards, Staff and Residents of Flambouyant Gardens; a special thank you to doctors, nurses and nurses’ assistants, The Staff of Twin City Ambulance Service: Jerry, Debbie and Claude, Certified Medical Assistants, ER Staff, ICU Staff, PCU Staff, VICC Staff, Med/Surg Staff, Kitchen workers, custodial workers at the Juan Luis Hospital and Medical Center; and Stretcher Plus Ambulance Service, Continuum Care Staff,  Dr. Lakhram and his entire dialysis staff of the Dialysis Unit at Gov. Juan Luis Hospital and Medical Center.

The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
