Charles Henderson Jacob

Charles Henderson Jacob, better known as “Hendo,” of Estate Stony Ground died on March 19.

Hendo was preceded in death by his parents: Helen Peters and Daniel Jacob; sister, Clara Anthony; and brother, Nicholson Bedneau.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Therese Jacob; stepchildren: Theresa Breedy (USA), Susan Breedy (USA) and Andy Bedminister (USA); stepson-in-law, Dwayne Isaac; step grandchildren: Sheryl Isaac, Samatha Isaac, Sabrina Isaac, Glen Laronde, Shantel Frith, Christopher Joseph-Bedminister and Andy Joseph-Bedminister; step great-grandchild: T’Nai Laronde (all of the USA); step-nephew, Patrickson Joseph; brother, New Edward Jacob (STX); sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jacob (STX); and sister, Patsy Peters (USA).

He is survived by nieces: Janice Benjamin, Marie Abraham-Robinson (nee Jacob) (USA) and Ella Elizee, APRN, FNP-C (USA); nephews: Jefferson George (London) and Eddie Jacob (STX); and great-nieces: Dr. Evangeline George (London), Victoria George (London), Dornese Benjamin, Christine Benjamin and Janelle Benjamin (all of USA); and great-nephews: Alexander George and Dominique George (London), Alexander Abraham (USA) and Christopher McClendon (USA).

He is also survived by cousins and other relatives: Elta George and family, Catherine Massicott and family, Fortenel Bethelmie and family, Grace George and family, Eulie Bernard and family, Matilda Prevost and family, Perry Jacob, Clement Jacob, Judith Jacob, Elsie Jacob and family, Adams family, Josephine Leslie and Gilbert Celestine.

Other survivors include special friends: Mike Bernard, Durand Gussie, Bernard Joseph, Paul Lawrence, John T. Joseph, Medora Edwards, Humphreys family, Keala Barker, Hamilton (Palo) Joseph, Christine George, Joseph Hastings, Maudrina Caleb and Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The Jacob family would like to extend special thanks to the medical staff on St. Croix, Florida and the hospice team for their care of Charles Henderson Jacob. Special thanks also are extended to the Frederiksted Assembly of God Church family.

There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, at Frederiksted Assembly of God (Estate Campo Rico). Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
