Citizen in Overturned Vehicle Rescued on St. John

On Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7:28 a.m., the Robert O’Connor, Sr. Fire Station received a 911 call regarding an occupant in an overturned vehicle on Seven Dip Road on St. John. On arriving, emergency medical personnel found the patient alert with the left leg pinned under the vehicle, according to a Fire and Emergency Medical Services release.

Fire and emergency medical personnel led a response with two more units, St. John Rescue and the Police Department to remove the vehicle with a backhoe. The patient was taken by ambulance directly to Schneider Regional Medical Center on St. Thomas for further treatment.
