Work crews help to clean up concrete spills on roadsides.
The island’s two concrete companies made good on promises they made last month to clean up concrete spills on Love City roads.
Workers from Majestic Concrete, Centerline Concrete and the Department of Public Works pitched in together and began repairs on heavily-damaged Longmat Road on the East End on Wednesday, March 28.
The coordinated effort came after concrete company representatives met with St. John Administrator Leona Smith and pledged to clean up the many concrete spills across the island.
Additional work on Longmat Road will continue as well as clean-ups of other concrete spill sites, according to employees.
