Crucian/Hispanic Dancer Nateli Ruiz Offers Wellness and Stretch Class at UVI Sunday

Crucian/Hispanic dancer Nateli Ruiz is home! She invites the community to her Wellness and Stretch Class at UVI Dance Studio CSX Building 100. The Sunday class, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., welcomes children six years and up and adults.

“Join me for an hour of mindful stretching of the body after all the holiday festivities. Sweat out the toxins, release the soreness of the muscles, and recalibrate your minds and bodies with this wellness class,” Ruiz said.

Ruiz began dancing at the Pointe Dance Academy at age four and continued dancing on St. Croix throughout her high school years. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a bachelor’s degree in fine art dance.

This grassroots dancer finds every opportunity to return home and offer classes to the community. In December 2019, Ruiz held a Master Class at the Caribbean Dance Company location. The buzz on social media brought 20 dancers to the class.

In December 2021, she shared the hip-hop style of dance with children and adults at the BodyCamp by Gigi at the Five Corners Plaza in La Grande Princesse. The classes were a huge success, in spite of the concerns of the pandemic looming over events at that time.

Ruiz resides in Atlanta, GA, and as a multi-talented artist, her career continues to flourish.

Throughout this past year, 2023, Ruiz has performed with “illuminate” as one of the illuminating dancing robots known from the hit show “America’s Got Talent.”

Ruiz appears in the Netflix movie, “A Jazzman’s Blues,” directed by Tyler Perry. She also appears on the Showtime hit series, “The First Lady,” featuring Viola Davis as Michelle Obama.

Now signed to Aligned Stars Agency, Ruiz continues to audition, teach, choreograph, create, and direct.

Ruiz continues to share her skills with other aspiring artists – teaching masterclasses around the country while spreading her profound love and passion for dance.
