Danley Cuffy Dies at 53

Danley Cuffy, known to many as just “Cuffy,” died on Feb. 22, at just 53 years of age.

Danley is survived by a loving family: wife, Anna Estepan; daughters: Dinae and Danleyanny Cuffy; mother, Melanie “Loveth” Castor; father, Franklin Cuffy; four sisters: Marisel and Delivette Castor, Cora and Nikez Cuffy; four brothers: Melvin, Robbert, Javie and Elbert Cuffy; and 10 aunts: Mona Jno Charles Stowe, Dawn, Ingrid, Carol and Andrea Jno Charles, Noreen Abraham, Marvella Pierre, Marinette Merifield, Mariana Prevost and Winifred George.

He is also survived by seven uncles: Michael “Carvendish,” Tess Vincent, Fitz Odell, Jerry and Edmon “Two Boy” Jno Charles, and Cuthbert and Benoit Cuffy; and 10 nieces: Kemisha Didier, Tresel “Fanny” Benjamin, Iva Castor Valigy, Gerlyn, Anique, Fernanda, Annshera, Makibah, Layla, Quinola and Kayla Cuffy.

Other survivors include six nephews: Treston “Pappy” Benjamin, Melvin, Akim, Kyle and Le’mar Cuffy, and Dayril Lepante; special cousins and friends: Shanley “Mackel” and Cayon Jno Charles, Jerome “Jerry” Lake, Culva Luke, Kurvin Dover and Marcia, Sharry, Kilsy, Ramona and Yovani; as well as cousins, extended family and cherished friends too numerous to mention.

Danley leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, generosity and unwavering love that will be remembered forever. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts and minds.

The initial viewing will be held at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services from 4-6 p.m., Monday, March 25. A second viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. before services. Danley’s homegoing service will be held at Word of Faith International Christian Center, St. Thomas, USVI, at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 26.
