Dawes Alphonso Todmann Dies at 73

Dawes Alphonso Todmann

Dawes Alphonso Todmann, also known as “Indio” or “Fletch,” of Estate La Grande Princesse died on Nov. 26. He was 73 years old.

He is survived by his mother, Mavis Sarita Roebuck-Todmann; father, Dawes Todmann; sons: Dawes Todmann, Michael Christensen and Theo Todmann; grandchildren: Amante Todmann, Jahzara, Axaiva and Jahzai Todmann; great-granddaughter, Amanda Todmann; sisters: Dutchelle Drummond, Etta Todmann and Ulette Todmann-Hodge; and brother, Michael Todmann.

He is also survived by nieces: Erica and Eurece Hendricks, Alexis Leycock, Lana Liburd, Jovina and Jovianna Drummond and Joanne Drummond-Benjamin; nephews: Jovan Drummond, Ernie Drummond Jr., Khasim Rivera, Kimari Jackson Sr., O’Kimba Williams and St. Clair Liburd Jr.; aunts: Kay O’Reilly, Marsha Charles, Paulette O’Reilly and Sherilyn O’Reilly; uncles: Rudy O’Reilly, Burton O’Reilly and Raymond O’Reilly; and daughter-in-law, Karen Joyce.

Other survivors include brothers-in-law: Ernie Drummond, Okemo Hodge and Gilbert Hendricks Sr.; godchildren: Eliston Hughes Jr. and Elijah Ritter; special friends: Charles “Mountain” Sealey, Randall Knight, Judy Jacobs, Victor Edney, Atty. Jeffrey Moorhead, Harold Roebuck, Leo Jackson, Dale Carrington, Richard Motta, Chickita and the Watergut crew, Gregory Ritter, Larry Jackson, Brother Cansie and Curtis “the Beeman” Sandy; cousins and other relatives: the Hendricks, Todman, Roebuck, Canton and O’Reilly families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family requests that attendees wear green or white.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Lord God of Sabaoth Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Christiansted Cemetery.
