Delano E. King, also known as “Del,” of Estate Grange died on Aug. 27. He was 77 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona D. King; daughters: Shekima M. King and Nicole T. King Felix; son, Eric Carr; grandchild, Aamani E Felix; great-grandchild, Milyla V. Felix; sisters: Lurita King Boyd and Maria King Willocks; brothers: Ezekiel N. King Jr. and Ira King; and son-in-law, Angel Felix.
He is also survived by sister-in-law, Varian Gumbs Lawrence; and special friends: Gregory R. Francis, Melvin Rogiers, Henry Martin, John DeJong, Archie Corbitt, Barry Alliara, Adele Petersen, Conrad Knowles, Kerwin and Catherine James, Joyce Schuster, Muriel and Bernard Liburd, Dorene Christian, Bingo Crowd, Patricia Browne, Wilbur Dennis and the Hansen family.
Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Anadia Andrews, Burton and Debbie Petersen, Jerome Matthews, the Matthews family, the Knight family and the Henry family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept.13, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christiansted. Interment will follow at Christiansted Cemetery.
