“We have spent the past months aligning with the Democratic National Committee to ensure compliance with its rules and regulations, and we are ready for a spirited caucus,” Hodge said in a press release on Thursday.

The Democratic Caucus will host elections on St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John, with one precinct per island, according to the release. Early voting will occur on June 6-7, and Caucus Day is Saturday, June 8, when Democrats will select presidential convention delegates and electors, it said.

The V.I. Delegate Selection Plan explains how the Democratic Party will select its delegates for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Chicago, Illinois, Aug. 19-22 to nominate Joe Biden, president, and Kamala Harris, vice president, for re-election as president and vice president of the United States.
