DHS Resolves Electronic Child Support Payment Funds Transfer Issue

Virgin Islands Department of Human Services

The V.I. Department of Human Services’ Paternity and Child Support Division informs the public that the issue that caused a delay in the processing of child support payments has now been resolved.  Clients of the Division, particularly those who receive disbursements by direct deposit and who were affected over the past several days by this technical issue, can now see those funds reflected on their saving or checking accounts.

Director Terrence D. Joseph and the Paternity and Child Support Division regret the inconveniences that were caused by this interruption in electronic transfer of monies and thank the public, in particular clients of PCSD, for the patience exhibited under these trying and difficult circumstances.

Please allow 24-48 hours for the funds to be realized in an account.  If the problem continues to exist, then call 775-3070 for a possible resolution.

The Division continues in its quest to provide financial support to children through the establishment of paternity and the establishment and enforcement of child support obligations.
