Division of Personnel Seeks Employee Reps to Serve on GESC Health Insurance Board

USVI Division of Personnel

Dayna Clendinen, director of the Division of Personnel, is advising all government employees and retirees who are members of the Virgin Islands Government’s Group Health Insurance Plan that the Division is now accepting applications for candidates to serve on the Government Employees Service Commission (GESC) Health Insurance Board of Trustees.

Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 6(b) requires that two employees of the Government of the Virgin Islands (one from each district) be democratically chosen by other government employees to be appointed to the insurance board, according to a press release from the Division of Personnel.

The law further requires that two retirees of the government (one from each district) be democratically chosen by retirees of the government to be appointed to the GESC Health Insurance Board.

Government employees and/or retirees interested in serving on this board should complete and submit the GESC Health Insurance Board of Trustees Candidate Profile Form. Submit this form via electronic mail: damali.rogers@dop.vi.gov no later than Thursday, Aug. 8. The form can be downloaded on the ‘Documents & Forms’ ‘Health Insurance’ page of the Division of Personnel’s website or picked up from the division’s offices located in the GERS Building at 3438 Kronprindsens Gade on St. Thomas or at 3009 Orange Grove, Suite 6, Christiansted on St. Croix.
