The Division of Personnel announces that Annual Open Enrollment will begin on Monday, Aug. 14 through Friday, Sept. 15. During this time, all active Government employees and retirees can take this opportunity to enroll, make changes to his/her health plan, life insurance and/or update their beneficiaries.
The Division of Personnel will be hosting a series of Open Enrollment sessions, territory-wide, in collaboration with the partnering healthcare providers to ensure that both employees and retirees can learn more about the benefits they are entitled to. Retirees are strongly encouraged to attend these in-person sessions, as they now have access to Bentek. During these retiree sessions, staff members will provide hands-on assistance to all Retirees, regarding navigation and the utilization of the Bentek eligibility system.
In-person and virtual open enrollment sessions will begin on Monday, Aug. 14, and run through Friday, Sept. 15, and are split between active employees, retirees and human resource officers.

There will also be important information shared by United Healthcare regarding benefit changes. For all Retirees over the age of 65 under United Healthcare, a person will be receiving a new insurance card and a new healthy benefits card effective Jan. 1, 2024. Therefore, it is critical that the person contact the Group Health Insurance Unit to ensure that the person make certain the correct mailing address is on file or if it needs to be updated.
All changes must be made by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 15. All new benefits/changes will be effective as of Oct. 1, 2023. Please note that all benefits can be accessed and viewed on Bentek.
