Dolphus MacDonald Ramsey Dies at 58

Dolphus MacDonald Ramsey, better known as “Timmy” or “Rasta Man,” died at the age of 58 on Sept. 7, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Ramsey; daughters: Latisha and Lacoya Ramsey; sons: Dolphus MacDonald Ramsey Jr. and Timothy Ramsey; grandchildren: Rinique Thomas Ramsey and Tairiq Ramsey; mother, Renette Ramsey; father, Ronald MacDonald Govan (deceased); six sisters; 10 brothers; aunt, Medina Rogers; mother-in-law, Mavis Berkeley; father-in-law, Walter Berkeley; special friends: Larry Stokes, Claudine Francis, Bernadette Mason, Martin Francis, Dulvido Thomas, Eric Graf, Pamela Sebastian and the rest of the Point Pleasant staff and family.

A Memorial Service for Dolphus MacDonald Ramsey will be held at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at Grace Gospel Chapel, across from Splash & Dash Car Wash in Tutu.
