Edith Evelyn-Garvey died on Saturday, May 20.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Matthews; father, George Evelyn; husband, Neville Garvey; daughters: Caroline Woodley and Gleneva Evelyn.
She is survived by her sons: Leroy Evelyn /Rafael Evelyn; daughters; Gloria Julius, Cynthia Ceasar, Vermelita James, Louvina Evelyn, Glenda Dacosta and Denise Evelyn; 46 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces: Eunice Taylor and Alberta Payne
The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., June 7, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. on June 8, followed at 10 a.m. by A Celebration of life service at the Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
