It is with gentle hearts that we announce the passing of Edmund C. Hutchinson or Frère to those who knew him well, who went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2025.
Those who knew him, will remember his spirit and his laughter. We trust that he is now resting in the loving arms of our Savior, free from pain.
Mr. Hutchinson was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Hutchinson and his sister, Ana Hutchinson.
He is survived by his spouse, Agatha Hutchinson; step-daughter, Julianna Hippolyte; and step-son, Alexander Hippolyte. He is also survived by a brother in England; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Felix (Florida), Lucess Fulgence (England), and Loretta Amable (St. Lucia).
He is fondly remembered by his many dear friends, including Cycil George, Everad Felix, Augustin (Chico) Williams, Althea Thomas, and Anthony Francis; as well as the Tobierre, Antoine, Hippolyte, Williams, Dominique, and Cadasse families, and the many friends of the Taxi Association, with special mention of Mr. Edwin.
He is further survived by cousins Matthew Hutchinson, David Hutchinson, and Cannis McFarlande; numerous nieces and nephews residing in St. Lucia, and Matthew Dominique (Washington, DC); three sons in England; a daughter, Ms. Edna; and three other daughters in St. Lucia, along with other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium, LLC.
